_Christmas is about the message of Comfort. Dr. Swanson talks about the things in life that stress us, about fear and loss. We long for someone to tell us it’s going to be ok. We learn that it is God’s presence that comforts us during these times.
In Isaiah 40:1 is a prophetic announcement of the coming Messiah with two words: “Comfort, Comfort My People”. Christ has come to comfort us. No matter what is happening in your life, you can cling to the hope of God’s comfort, for He has come to be with you.
_Dr. Swanson also teaches from 2 Corinthians 1:2-4. We learn that God never wastes our pain by giving us opportunities to comfort others. He teaches 4 practical ways to provide that comfort.God does not want you to carry your burdens on your own. He is always there to comfort you and give you hope.
